Edgend began its activity in 2005 as a heavy power metal band with a neo classical touch and symphonic composing.

 

The name 'EDGEND' is a combination between the words Edge End meaning the sharpest point of the blade.

 

At the end of 2006 edgend recorded a demo titled 'Attached by Insanity' with their former vocalist Eran Goldstein who wrote the lyrics for Voices & Balance and participated in composing Voices.

 

A year later the band had the honor to be the opening act for the progressive metal band EVERGREY in Tel Aviv. In that show, Rami Salmon made his first appearance with edgend. He later joined the band.

 

In 2008 Edgend started working on the 'A New Identity' album was produced by Kevin Codfert (ADAGIO) and Maor Appelbaum mastered the album. The art work was made by Sven de Caluw (ABORTED). Nightmare Records published the Album worldwide.

 

After the album's release, the band continued performing in Israel and also in Europe with Evergrey (2010).

 

In 2011, Rami Salmon and Priel Horesh left the band and the rest of the band started working on their upcoming album.

 

In 2012, Edgend stopped working on their second album and the remaining members went on focusing on other projects.

 

After 4 years, Refael Hevrony (Drums) and Alex Linezki (Vocals) joined the band. With their arrival, Edgend continued their work on their second album and started to perform again!
